About the Song/Composer:
"Voice of God: Psalm 40" is a popular Christian praise song composed by a Korean composer, Ji Myun Kim. This song was his response from the joy that he received upon hearing the Voice of God while he was reading Psalm 40. This song is currently translated into multiple language and is sung by many Christians around the world.
The performer, Evan Kim, had the privilege to make a violin Rendition of this song with the permission of the composer.
lyrics
Based on Psalm 40
Verse 1:
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
Verse 2:
Blessed is the one
who trusts in the Lord,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods.[b]
Many, Lord my God,
are the wonders you have done,
the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you;
were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
they would be too many to declare
Chorus
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
